To begin or further your barbering career, you need to learn from the best.

At the Decent Cut Academy in the buzzing heart of Manchester city centre, you’ll certainly be doing that as you train under the guidance of multiple-award-winning barber Sam Habte and his team from Decent Cut. We offer courses for everyone, whether you’re fresh out of school with dreams of becoming a barber or have been working in the industry for years and want to further your skills in a particular area. Not only do we help students get their barbering qualifications, we have a track record of getting them job-ready to a high standard.

Our courses combine deep industry knowledge with one-to-one training tailored to your needs, creating a learning experience that really sets you up for your chosen career. Decent Cut Academy is located in Manchester’s bustling Arndale Centre, where more than 2,000 customers nominated us above all other retailers in the centre to be named Best Health & Beauty Store of the Year 2018.

Work it Back scheme

We know a great barber when we see one. And of course we want to have them working in our salon. That’s why we’ll pick the best graduating students from our courses and offer them the chance to join our team and work alongside us, paid, for at least a year. You’ll be able to develop and hone your craft, getting the real-world experience you need, all while working back the cost of your course.
